Christian Senior Services is dedicated to securing the privacy of our volunteers, donors, clients, and supporters in a professional and secure manner. We have developed the following Privacy Policy to inform and fulfill our commitment to our clients with regard to the privacy of their personal information.
In General
Christian Senior Services is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which operates three programs in Bexar County including Grace Place – Alzheimer’s Center, Meals on Wheels of San Antonio, and the Senior Companion Program. As part of operations, we may ask our clients, volunteers, donors, and supporters for personal information in order to fulfill the mission of the agency. We will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. In addition to using SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect client information off-line. All of our client information, not just the sensitive information mentioned in this policy, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.
Volunteers
Christian Senior Services has contracted a third party agency by the name of Volgistics to host our volunteer database. The information you submit through this online form is protected using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. This means that your information is encrypted as it travels between your computer and our volunteer database. This is the same technology used by banks to protect online banking services and online merchants to protect credit card information. Once your data reaches our volunteer database, it is protected by hardware firewalls, secure servers, database encryption, and other security measures.
Donors
Christian Senior Services has contracted a third party agency by the name of Acceptiva to manage our donations online. The following is the privacy policy for Acceptiva:

Acceptiva is dedicated to enabling the acceptance of online transactions in a professional, simple, secure, and affordable manner. We have developed the following Privacy Policy to fulfill our commitment to our clients with regard to the privacy of their donor's information.
Acceptiva - Credit Card Numbers
When an individual uses the Acceptiva payment platform, billing information including the name on the individual's card, billing address and expiration date is used to process the transaction. All of this information is encrypted using 128 bit SSL, industry standard secure technology. This encryption is designed to prevent theft or interception of the information as it traverses our data network.
Completing a transaction online using the Acceptiva payment platform will not open an individual's personal information to misuse. Acceptiva does not disclose, sell, trade, rent, or otherwise reveal credit card or other personal information to third parties, including advertisers or marketers. Demographic and usage data may be used by Acceptiva in aggregate for internal analysis, but at no time are individual credit card numbers ever communicated or shared with anyone.
Acceptiva - Donor Data and E-mail Addresses
Acceptiva collects donor data including e-mail addresses in order to process transactions and send the appropriate transaction receipts. If an individual checks a box to receive a newsletter from our client, this information is supplied to our client. Donor data including e-mail addresses collected during the transaction process is the property of our client and will never be used by Acceptiva other than to contact the donor regarding their transaction on the Acceptiva payment platform, should the need arise.
Acceptiva will not disclose, sell, trade, rent, or otherwise reveal donor data including e-mail addresses to any third party, other than to Acceptiva's client.
Each client may have a privacy policy that differs from Acceptiva' privacy policy. Please refer to the client's own privacy policy. Acceptiva is not responsible for any uses of an individual's information by our clients.
The Acceptiva Privacy Policy outlined above is subject to any legal requirements of disclosure dictated by statute or by an order of an appropriate court of law.
Email Communications
Christian Senior Services has contracted a third party agency by the name of Vertical Response to be our email service provider for e-marketing efforts. The following is the privacy policy for Vertical Response:

VerticalResponse is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. VerticalResponse collects information from our users at several different points on our website.
VR - Information You Upload into VerticalResponse
VerticalResponse offers self-service direct marketing solutions for small and mid-size businesses. All client data uploaded into our system is stored in a personalized and secure location. VerticalResponse will not sell or rent any client data loaded into our system and only the registered account holder can gain access to the uploaded lists.
VR - Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
VR - Sharing
We will share aggregated demographic information with 3rd parties in the case they would like to know aggregate demographics of our audience. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We do not share personally identifiable information with 3rd parties.
