Meals on Wheels Adopt-A-Day program allows corporations and other organizations an opportunity to deliver meals to homebound seniors without a long-term commitment. The company makes a financial contribution to cover the cost of meal delivery for the day and then company employees are asked to deliver Meals on Wheels on this day.

Note: Adopt-A-Day is an event – not just a contribution.



For the sum of $10,000, your company can underwrite Meals on Wheels for one day, including:
- Preparation and delivery of more than 3,500 hot, nutritious meals to homebound and disabled seniors
- Preparation and distribution of the meals to our 59 pick-up sites in Bexar County
- Meal distribution by our staff along 131 routes in Bexar County

Your company will receive:
- The opportunity to provide a direct service to homebound seniors in Bexar County
- Stickers put on each meal indicating that your corporation provided today’s meal
- Recognition within the Meals on Wheels section of our biannual newsletter (circulation 25,000+)
- A check presentation and photo opportunity with Sharon Baughman, CEO of Christian Senior Services
- The opportunity to honor employees for their outstanding contribution to community service

Your corporation can sponsor the cost to deliver meals for one day for only $10,000. This is a great way to celebrate a special day (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.) or a special occasion (anniversary of the company). Your generous support will allow us to prepare and deliver 3,500 hot, nutritious meals to homebound elderly and disabled seniors.

As part of the sponsorship, a sticker will be placed on each meal which reads “Today’s meal provided by (company name + logo)”. In addition, your company will be recognized within the Meals on Wheels section of our biannual newsletter (circulation, 25,000+).

Though we have a growing number of volunteers delivering meals, the Meals on Wheels department continues to deliver a significant portion of those meals (approximately 2,100) using a small fleet of 31 agency-owned delivery trucks. Sadly, the average life span of one of our delivery vehicles is four to five years; therefore, corporations have the opportunity to help the program by sponsoring a concept delivery truck for only $30,000.

As part of the sponsorship, your company name and logo will be placed on the vehicle with a tag that reads: “This vehicle is sponsored by…” In addition, your company will be recognized within the Meals on Wheels section of our biannual newsletter (circulation, 25,000+).
