MEALS ON WHEELS
Meals on Wheels of San Antonio fosters independence by delivering hot, nutritious meals each weekday to homebound seniors. Meals are prepared under the direction of a registered dietitian and are often the primary source of vitamins and nutrients received by recipients. In addition, personal contact with volunteers can combat loneliness and provide opportunities for early intervention in life-threatening situations.
GRACE PLACE
Grace Place Alzheimer’s Activity Center is San Antonio’s only licensed adult day activity center exclusively for seniors suffering from Alzheimer’s. Each center provides a secure and nurturing environment where our clients engage in activities that focus on their abilities rather than disabilities. We now have three locations serving Northwest, Northeast, and Central San Antonio.
COMPANIONSHIP SERVICES
Without social interaction, homebound seniors can start to feel isolated and depressed, which may worsen existing health conditions. To alleviate concerns, Christian Senior Services offers volunteer-based companionship and minor assistance to homebound seniors living in San Antonio. Volunteers are categorized as either Senior Companions or Elder Friends based on their level of service.
