More than 130,000 individuals over age 90 live in Texas (US census), putting quite a strain on the network of care. 82% of those between the ages of 90 and 94 report some kind if impairment such as the inability to do errands, visit a doctor’s office, or bathe. Thankfully, Meals on Wheels volunteers make sure that disabled older adults are assured at least one healthy meal every day.
